about

After eleven years of their last album, Brazilian voodoo-industrial-goth band Pecadores returns
with a controversial, mockery, malefic and funny “Diabo que me Carregue".
Pecadores is a cult band from Brazil which makes a peculiar mixing of Brazilian
percussion with electro sequencers and noise guitars sounding heavy and unique.
With the same controversial themes from the others albuns, Pecadores comes again with great religious samples
and brazilian afro percussion mixed with electronics and dirty guitars a la Alien Sex Fiend.
This time, the band deal with brazilian musician and producer Fernando Nahtaivel (NAHTAIVEL) and keyboard player with many black metal bands in Brasil.
NAHTAIVEL did a great job, giving the band more dark atmospheres and mixing the dirty guitars with electronics in a perfect point.
Brasil is very religious country, and do what Pecadores do at the new album, for sure will send all members to Hell after that.
There are 3 instrumentals tracks, Maestro (dedicated do Ennio Morricone), VelhoAmigo Seudiabo (very bizarre apostle from evangelic church),
O Culto (where a mad apostle found devil influencies at all nintendo games and satanic churchs where George Harrison or Queen played his songs).
8 new songs are written for that album, including 2 first digital singles CANGACEIRO MACABRO and DIABO QUE ME CARREGUE, both was released with music video.
Tracks as CURANDEIRO and DUELO UNIVERSAL-MUNDIAL, bring us the pentecostal church fighting for who takes more money from the other church using your credit card.
The band did first time cover songs, HAVA NAGUILE (old jewish song) and a BRAZILIAN VERSION for GOTTES TOD (DAS ICH), that one they used only the melody,
and the lyrics are a tribute and hymn for the goth people in Brasil.
A new version more cyber-punk was did for the old track PENITÊNCIA, and for sure will be a dancefloor hit.
SPECIAL about CANGACEIRO MACABRO: The song tells a history about Brazilian “cangaço" and its main leader Lampião. Cangaço was a
murderous and subversive sort of social movement which took place in hard times of arid Northeast
Brazil by the end of 19th to early 20th centuries. By that time many people joined it becoming outlaws
nomads who roamed inland to seek for money, food and revenge. The main sample used in “Cangaceiro
Macabro” is a lip reading from the only recorded Cangaço image where Lampião shows a knife and talk
to the camera.

Pecadores São Paulo, Brazil

After years hidden in South America, Pecadores arrives to testify Brazilian religion´s truths and lies.
Known in the 80´s as a catholic nation, Brazil saw a huge growth of different churches and sects in the 90´s. Taking advantage of people´s misery and good faith, some of them set up and enrich, building big empires in a country full of poverty. ... more
