about
After 10 years since the last album, brazilian Voodoo-Industrial-Goth band Pecadores, returns with a great new single.
"Cangaceiro Macabro" is the first single from the upcoming album will be released in 2022 called "Diabo que me Carregue".
The band is a "Cult" artist from Brasil, mixing brazilian percussion and samples with electro sequencers and noise guitars, sounds peculiar and heavy.
The titles song, bring us a history about "Brazilian Cangaço" and their main leader "Lampião".
CANGAÇO: was a phenomenon of Northeast Brazil in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
This region of Brazil is known for its aridness and hard way of life, and in a form of "social banditry"
against the government, many men and women decided to become nomadic bandits,
roaming the hinterlands seeking money, food and revenge.
The Main sample used at the song is a lip reading from the only one image filmed in the Cangaço where "Lampião" show a knife and talk to the camera.
Dirty guitars with a macabre sequencer a la Alien Sex Fiend, make the song, one of future smash hit from the band for the next album.
lyrics
Surgiu um bando lá no agreste
Eram liderados por um cabra da peste
Diziam ter parte com o cão
Era o bando mais temido do sertão
Cangaceiro, cangaceiro,
Cangaceiro, cangaceiro,
Mata Padre, macaco e donzela
Só não mata Maria que o homi que ela
É na faca é no chumbo é no grito
A peixeira cortando o buxo é bonito
Cangaceiro, cangaceiro,
Cangaceiro, cangaceiro,
é Lampião
O calango cheira distante
O cangaço cheira volante
No Silêncio o bacamarte a cantar
Levanta cabra pra lutar
Cangaceiro, cangaceiro,
Cangaceiro, cangaceiro,
Hoje amanhaceu com bala zunindo
O cangaço perdeu, a cabeça dormindo
